Image result for a dead womans secret

The title of this short story is A Dead Woman's Secret by Guy De Maupassant. This Short Story is an American Literature.  The themes of “A Dead Woman’s Secret” are Darkness and light and Facing reality. The setting of the story is supposedly in the room of the dead woman with her children by her bedside. The dead woman was thought of as a Saint, pure, very religious, a church woman, etc. in the beginning of the story, but towards the end it was revealed that she had an unknown lover.Marguerite: The dead woman’s daughter, A nun who loathes men and very religious. The Judge: The dead woman’s son who is an officer. There is several tones in the short story. It was sad, because of the death of their mother, Happy about reminiscing their mother and how she raised them to be, and both Serious and Hypocritical, because once her secrets were read she was a completely different person than what the Father saw her as and her children. I recommend this short story to the people who loves books that want some revealing things at the end. It will suspense you how the story ends.
